This book series consists of undergraduate and graduate textbooks, research and engineering design reference books and monographs in the field of coastal and ocean engineering.

The subject areas of the series include:

ocean waves and currents
ocean acoustics
materials for marine structures
offshore and coastal structures
coastal morphology

In 1978 he was awarded the Walter L Huber Research Prize by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and in 1980 he was awarded a Guggenheim fellowship.
